Tuesday night wind gusts left 100 LC valley residents without power

LEWISTON, ID - Roughly 100 people were without power Tuesday evening as strong winds blew through the region.

Windy conditions tore through the L.C. Valley, uprooting trees, breaking branches and blowing leaves in every direction. Due to excessively dry conditions and wind gusts up to 40-miles-per-hour, a hazardous weather outlook has been issued for those in the Lewiston area, Lewis and southern Nez Perce counties as well as lower Garfield and Asotin counties. The National Weather Service reports that gusty winds will continue throughout Tuesday evening as a cold front moves through the area.
