Dan Pacholke resigned this weekend after 33 years of service. This comes as controversy surrounds the agency over the early release of violent criminals due to a system failure.
The DOC has acknowledged that for more than a decade, its miscalculated sentences due to repeated delayed software updates.
Two deaths have been linked to inmates who should have still been behind bars had it not been for that error.
