LEWISTON, ID- LC State came from behind in their first two games, and ended up winning both of them by just one run. Last night was not the case, as the Warriors jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning.
When Concordia Ann Arbor came back to tie it up, head coach Jake Taylor gathered the team in a huddle, and what was said in that very huddle made the difference.
The Warriors came out firing in the fourth inning, with five runs on five hits, and they never looked back. A total team effort, both at the plate and on the mound to get the 19-7 win, and secure the opening round title.
The Warriors were the four seed in the tournament, but yet the only team to not lose a single game. That's the beauty of postseason baseball, as anything can happen on any given day.
