Cougs snaps Gonzaga losing streak
PULLMAN, WA —
A streak ended on Tuesday night. Washington State baseball ended its five-game losing streak to the Gonzaga Bulldogs, winning 4-3.
The Cougs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Bulldogs tied the game in the fifth inning and took the lead in the seventh.
A lead that wouldn’t last long, with WSU tying the game in the bottom of the seventh and would regain the lead in the eighth.
Washington State has now won four of the last six games and this weekend the Cougs will head to the Willamette Valley, taking on the Oregon Ducks in Eugene, Oregon.
Wazzu won the last Pac-12 series they played, beating the Arizona State Sun Devils two games to one.
