LEWISTON, ID- After 22 years at the helm, LC State women's basketball coach Brian Orr announced his retirement earlier this year. The warriors have now announced a new head coach to lead the program.
NAIA assistant coach of the year and former LC State player Caelyn Orlandi was named the eighth head coach in program history.
She was recently inducted into the Warrior hall of fame, as she led the Warriors to a national runner up finish. She also led the NAIA her senior year with 261 total assists.
Orlandi has been coaching alongside coach Orr the last six years, and is more than ready to take the next step.
"I plan to uphold the amazing tradition of excellence that the women's basketball team had demonstrated over the many years of success on and off the basketball court," said Orlani in an LC State Athletics press release.
"I have a fantastic team for the 2023-24 season, and I can't wait to begin in the fall. It's always a great day to be a Warrior."
