LEWISTON, ID- The LC State Warriors found themselves down three runs once again, but crawled their way back into the game. Designated hitter Isiah Thomas hit a grand slam in the fourth inning, to give them a 4-3 lead.

Isaac Haws stepped into the game after second baseman Pu'ukani De Sa left the game with an injury. Haws also delivered at the plate, with the go ahead RBI single to put the Warriors up in front 5-4 for good.

Reliever Jake Green came into the game and struck out the side. The Warriors are now one win away from advancing to the NAIA World Series.

"I just attacked the outer half of my fast ball, and it seemed to play well because they were swinging at it, and taking it in for a strike," Green said. "I thought that was my game today hitting that outer half of the plate with the fast ball, and it seemed to work."

"I told coach right before that at bat that it feels good, it's been feeling good in the practice in the cages," Haws said. " I told him it felt really good, and I was just going to trust it, and go there and compete. I ended up getting a lucky drop in the outfield. Sometimes that's all it takes in baseball."
