LEWISTON, ID- The LC State Warriors exploded offensively, with 19 runs on 18 hits.
Charlie Updegrave, Dominic Signorelli, and Isiah Thomas all hit home runs. Alec Holmes tossed 3.1 scoreless innings, with five strikeouts and one walk.
"You know he just told us to calm down, and stay with our game and it worked for us," Signorelli said.
"I was just following around what our coaches were saying to do, to stay in the middle of the field, and just trusting what we've been working on, and it worked today."
"I think giving each pitch over for a strike in any count that I needed to was the difference getting my off-speed over," Holmes said.
"That was the biggest change and I was just pounding the zone, I'm making my pitches where I needed to, and ultimately it worked out."
Up next, the Warriors turn their attention to the Avista NAIA World Series, set to begin on May 26.
