Colton's 8-year title run ends at the hands of ACH

Throughout my 26 years on planet earth, I’ve never ever have heard of the same team winning five or six straight state titles. Colton, the girls have done it eight in a row, but without giving away, we all know that all good things must come to an end.

Colton facing off with Almira-Coulee-Hartline this afternoon (Friday) and the Cats asserting their usual dominance early in this one, getting up the floor with ease. Kendyl Druffel up ahead to Emily Schultheis. Early lay-up made it 14-7 Colton.

But the Warriors claw back in it before half. Berlyn Hunt with a monster game today, drives, scores and gets fouled. Warriors down four at half.

Late third, early fourth ACH takes control from the champs. There is Hunt again, playing through contact for another and-one, a game high 24 points for her. Almira-Coulee Hartline, are you kidding me, ends one of the most amazing title runs in state history, 50-46.
