High school basketball recaps: 12/19/2017


POTLATCH VS. LAPWAI (Boys) – In the game that decided the early White Pine D-1 leader, the Lapwai Wildcats beat the Potlatch Loggers 51-41.

The game was close, going into the fourth quarter Lapwai had the three-point lead.

But the Wildcats would pull away, going on a 10-0 run to start the fourth.

Potlatch suffered its second loss on the season, while Lapwai is 8-1 on the season.

PRAIRIE VS. ASOTIN (Boys) – For the Idaho-Washington crossover game, the Prairie Pirates defeated the Asotin Panthers 67-59 on Tuesday.

Asotin will have its rematch against Prairie after the new year, on January 2nd.

PRAIRIE VS. ASOTIN (Girls) – The Prairie Pirates’ domination on the season continues.

The Pirates had another blow-out win, beating the Asotin Panthers 72-34.

Prairie is playing without its leading scorer (out for the season with a torn ACL) but it’s not slowing them down.

The Pirates are 11-0 on the season.

GENESEE VS. TROY – The Genesee Bulldogs are stringing together wins. Bulldogs beat the home-team Troy Trojans 44-15 on Tuesday.

Anna Druffel lead the team in scoring, dropping 11 points and Courtney Burt was one rebound shy of a double-double, scoring 10 points with nine rebounds.

The Bulldogs are 8-4 on the season.
