High School Basketball Round-up: Jan. 30, 2018


TROY VS. GENESEE – The Genesee Bulldogs beat the Troy Trojans 50-12 on Tuesday night, advancing in the district tournament.

Defense was the name of the game, with the Bulldogs only allowing Troy to score one point in the first half.

Bulldogs will take on the Lapwai Wildcats on Wednesday at the Lewis-Clark State Activities Center.

KAMIAH VS. LAPWAI – What was a close(r) game in the second half, at one brief point it was a 10-point game, the Lapwai Wildcats poured on the points, beating the Kamiah Kubs 76-47.

The Kubs fall below .500 with an 8-9 overall season record while Lapwai is 9-1 in league play.

Both team have two more games left in the regular season.

CLARKSTON VS. WEST VALLEY – Despite sophomore guard Tru Allen scoring 27 points, the Clarkston Bantams couldn’t defeat the West Valley Eagles on Tuesday, losing 60-58.

Clarkston has one more game on the season, taking on Cheney on Friday.

The game between the Blackhawks and Bantams will decide third place in the Great Northern League.
