Lewiston splits the double-header and Genesee continues its reign

Coeur d'Alene vs. Lewiston (baseball)


The Lewiston Bengals split the double-header with the Coeur D’Alene Vikings.

Vikings won game one 11-2 but Lewiston was able to take game two 5-4.

LHS came out swinging, Tyson Wallace got a hit on the first pitch of the game and Chris Powell would get an RBI, giving Lewiston the 1-0 lead in the first inning.

Dawson Bonfield would also get an RBI that would give Lewiston the 2-0 lead to end the inning.

Lewiston is 10-5 on the season, 2-2 in 5A Inland Empire League play and third in league.

Whereas CDA is 9-4 overall, 3-1 in 5A IEL and still first in league.

TROY VS. GENESEE (softball)

The Genesee Bulldogs continued its strong start to the 2018 season so far, beating the Troy Trojans in both games of the double-header.

Game one, the Bulldogs won 11-5 and game two they won 20-7.

Genesee is the second ranked team in the White Pine, sitting behind Potlatch with a 4-1 (3-0) record.

The Loggers are 4-1 (4-0).

While Troy can’t seem to find any luck, they are winless this season.
