Riggins, ID native is going to the Dallas Cowboys
RIGGINS, ID —
On Thursday, Riggins, Idaho, a town of a little over 400 people, became known for something besides white water rafting.
Salmon River High School Alum Leighton Vander Esch was drafted 19th over to the Dallas Cowboys.
While Cowboys fans in Dallas didn’t seem too keen on the Boise State linebacker, Riggins was the complete opposite, cheering as loud as they could when Vander Esch’s name was announced.
Although Riggins is close to Moscow, ID than Boise, rivalry between Boise State and Idaho put aside, everyone is a Leighton Vander Esch fan.
