Sharp signs with Eastern Washington
CLARKSTON, WA —
It’s not often that high schools get multiple students, going on to play NCAA Division-1 or Division-2 sports, but Clarkston High School is a little different.
A school of just under 600 students (so far), three are playing either D1 or D2 sports in the class of 2018.
Senior Anna Sharp made that number three.
On Wednesday, she signed her National Letter of Intent to join Eastern Washington for javelin.
“I was really shocked,” She said, regarding her initial reaction to getting offered a scholarship. “It’s a D1 school and I never expected that to happen.
I’ve always looked at Eastern as a school that I could never attend because I wanted to go for sports. And now it’s kind of a reality.”
Sharp joins Mackinzie Packwood and Koby Blunt as the other NCAA D1/D2 athletes from the CHS class of 2018.
Blunt will play baseball at Washington State and Packwood will be playing soccer at Central Washington.
