Mariners hot streak continues, taking game one

Still smelling like a vacation, the Mariners are back to work and that break came at just the right time. After the All-Star break, the M’s are on a four game winning streak sweeping the Chicago White Sox, and tonight, they beat the Houston Astros in extras.

With Seattle down 6 to 5 in the seventh, Nelson Cruz hits a solo homer, tying the game at six. And another home run from Mike Zunino, giving the Mariners the one-run lead.

Astros then tie, but, no one can crack the tie so we go into extras. And the M’s had the Astros saving, oh man, oh man not again.

Kyle Seager at the dish, smacks a home run of his own giving the Mariners the lead. Then, going back-to-back like Jordan 96 and 97, Danny Valencia hits a deep one to center to solidify the Mariners win.

Seattle wins game one, 9 to 7.
