Shaking off a slow start, the Logos Knights would let loose a barrage of three pointers to bury their Whitepine League opponent, the Troy Trojans, 58-24.

The initial spark came from their senior guard, Will Casebolt.

"I hit one of my shots, then on the next one I thought I was gonna miss it. It actually went in, so I felt like hitting two in a row boosted my confidence,” Casebolt said. “I just took that from there and kept on hitting them”

But the end of the night, Will had 18 points-all of them coming from behind the three-point line. He also cleaned up the paint, pulling down 10 rebounds to notch a double-double.

For will, he says the win came from great teamwork.

"We were just moving the ball around, trying to give everyone shots,” he said. “I think that ball movement really helped us out. We were a bit stagnant in the first quarter, but once we got it moving, getting open looks, we started knocking them down.”

The logos offense can be a handful for any team. Any player is ready to knock down shots from deep range. Will says all those options keeps the offense working efficiently.

"We’ve got a lot of good shooters on our team, and it helps a lot,” he said. “Of they try to double one of us, someone else is going to be wide open and knock the shot down.”

Will spends a lot of time working on his shot, giving himself a required number of shots to make each day

"It depends on the day,” he said. “sometimes it’s a couple hundred (makes), sometimes its more. Sometimes your doing set shots, other times your working on dribble moves.”

This fall, Will also played wide receiver for the Knights... In Logos’ first varsity football season. Upon graduating this year, he plans to attend college, possibly to play basketball if the opportunity presents itself.

In the meantime, he's ready to leave it all out on the court with his teammates and looking to make a deep run, hopefully all the way to the state tournament.

“I just want to make it state, that’s the team goal and that’s my main goal as well,” he said. “To keep winning games, playing with my teammates and enjoying my last year, that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
